❓ Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
🎒 Enrollment & Transcripts
How do I submit my past school credits? Have your previous school email your official transcripts directly to Epierson@nativaalliancehighschool.com. We will audit them within 48 hours.
Can adult learners join if they have been out of school for years? Absolutely. Our Returning Scholars Program is specifically designed for adults of any age to pick up right where they left off and earn an official high school diploma.
💻 Learning & Schedule
Are classes live or self-paced? Classes are 100% online and self-paced. Students can log in at any time, day or night, making it perfect for working adults or busy K–12 families.
What equipment do I need to get started? You just need a dependable laptop, desktop, or Chromebook, a working webcam for virtual milestones, and a stable internet connection.
💳 Tuition & Funding
Does Nativa Alliance accept Florida state scholarships? Yes! We proudly work with the Step Up For Students network (including PEP, FTC, and FES packages).
Do you offer payment plans for out-of-pocket tuition? Yes. We integrate with flexible payment processors like Afterpay right at checkout so you can split your tuition into manageable installments.
🎓 Graduation & Diplomas
Will my diploma say "Online School" on it?Answer: No. Your official high school diploma will read Nativa Alliance Community High School. It looks identical to a traditional high school diploma and carries the exact same academic weight for colleges, employers, and the military.
How many credits do I need to graduate?Answer: We align with standard high school graduation tracks (typically 24 credits). However, because we transfer over your previous passing credits, many students—especially adult learners—only need to complete a few remaining courses to graduate.
⏱️ Attendance & Daily Learning
Do I have to log in at a specific time every day?Answer: Not at all. The platform is completely open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can complete your lessons early in the morning, late at night, or on weekends around your work and family schedule.
What if a student gets stuck on a difficult lesson?Answer: While the curriculum is self-paced, you are never left to struggle alone. Students have access to dedicated mentor support and academic advisors to help guide them through challenging course materials.
☀️ Step Up For Students & Funding Details
Can I use the Step Up scholarship for the Adult Education program?Answer: No. Florida's Step Up For Students scholarships (PEP, FTC, and FES) are legally strictly for K–12 students. Adult scholars paying out-of-pocket can take advantage of our flexible payment plans, including Afterpay, to break tuition into smaller payments.
What happens if my K–12 student falls behind schedule?Answer: Because state funding depends on completing the school year on time, a student falling behind must be reported. If your child is struggling to meet the May deadline, please email us immediately at Epierson@nativaalliancehighschool.com so we can set up an academic recovery plan to protect your scholarship.
